PeelBoard vs Housecall Pro

Seventeen rows, two columns, every cell taken from Housecall Pro’s own public pricing and feature pages. No disparagement, no invented gaps — where they have something we do not, it says so.

Competitor information comes from each company’s own public pricing and feature pages, checked on September 13, 2026. Plans and features change; if something here is out of date, email admin@getpeelboard.com and we’ll fix it.

Who each one is for

Housecall Pro is built for home-service trades such as plumbing, HVAC and electrical. PeelBoard is built for tint, PPF, ceramic coating, detailing, vinyl wrap and flat-glass shops, with a price book for each trade and film counted by the foot.

Where they actually differ

Housecall Pro is a mature product with real strengths: online booking, recurring service plans that auto-bill, job costing, a business valuation calculator that compares you against pros of similar industry and size, and a genuinely good mobile app.

It is not a film-shop tool. Its Price Book covers services and materials with material-usage reporting, but there is no foot, yard or roll unit, no cut optimiser and no PPF coverage tracking. Its self-serve website builder was discontinued and replaced with a paid done-for-you service, where PeelBoard Business includes a hosted shop website you point your own domain at. On seats: Basic is one user, Essentials five, Max eight and then $35 a month each; PeelBoard Business is $99 with unlimited seats.

What each one costs

PeelBoard

$99/mo

PeelBoard Business is $99/mo with unlimited seats, 500 texts a month ($10 per 500 after), a hosted shop website and the whole marketing suite. Free is $0 and Pro is $49/mo. Every new shop gets 14 days of Business free, with no credit card.

Housecall Pro

$59–299/mo

Housecall Pro is $59/mo Basic with one user, $149/mo Essentials with five and about $299/mo Max with eight, on annual billing, then +$35/mo per extra user on Max.

Moving your customers over

Be careful with anyone who promises a one-click migration from every system on earth. PeelBoard has named imports for Tint Wiz, Square and Goldie, which skip anyone you already have so re-running them is safe. Housecall Pro is not one of them. If that is where you are coming from, email admin@getpeelboard.com and we will tell you honestly what can and cannot come across rather than finding out after you have cancelled.

Fair questions, straight answers.

How does Housecall Pro pricing compare?

Housecall Pro is $59 Basic (1 user), $149 Essentials (5 users) and about $299 Max (8 users) a month on annual billing, then $35 a month per extra user on Max. PeelBoard Business is $99 a month with unlimited seats, and Free and Pro sit below it at $0 and $49.

Do I get a website either way?

On PeelBoard Business, yes — a hosted shop website with your own domain, included. Housecall Pro’s self-serve website builder was discontinued and replaced with a paid done-for-you service, on its own help pages.

Can I import from Housecall Pro?

Not by name. PeelBoard has named imports from Tint Wiz, Square and Goldie that skip duplicates. Housecall Pro offers a generic import plus a concierge migration, with no named source system.

Does PeelBoard track film and PPF?

Yes: rolls per SKU by the foot with low-film alerts and reorder lists, PPF tracked by coverage and vehicle size and deducted when the job completes, and a flat-glass Cut Planner. We found no footage or roll unit anywhere in Housecall Pro’s price book pages.
